OUTLINE SAFETY MEASURES

Summary of post-COVID-19 safety measures for meetings and events at One Birdcage Walk

We are planning to re-open One Birdcage Walk at a time when some form of physical distancing may still be required by the Government for events to go ahead.

Anticipating this and following Government guidance, we have put some measures in place to ensure safety of all visitors and employees:

  • Capacities of all the rooms have been revised to allow for physical distancing as per Government guidance. We are also limiting the number of employees and visitors to the building.
  • Hand sanitising stations available at reception, in all event spaces and other key areas.
  • To encourage physical distancing, signage has been placed, passing places have been clearly marked out and all doors that are not fire doors have been propped open to reduce touch points.
  • Increased cleaning procedures and added a team to concentrate on sanitising touch points around the building including door push / pull plates, lift buttons and staircase handrails throughout the day. All room surfaces will be deep cleaned at the end of each event.
  • Laptops and presentation equipment will be designated to each individual and fully sanitised after use.
  • Cleaning regime in toilets will be increased and additional checks carried out.
  • We will provide pre-packed catering that guests can collect and enjoy in their own space and our catering staff will be wearing PPE when setting up catering.
  • All visitors to the building must be signed in by the duty Receptionist on arrival. Registration for events will be carried out prior to arrival at OBW so that guests are ticked off on a list by the event organiser as they enter the building to avoid queuing.
  • Lifts should only be used by guests with mobility issues. If you or one of your guests requires special assistance, please let us know in advance.
  • Special rubbish bins for disposal of PPE will be provided.

In the unlikely event you should become unwell, please speak to a member of our staff immediately.
